NEWS1: Economic Leveraging in the Philippines with the Soon-to-be New "Van-a-Wagon" Format
The contention that a proposed GM-based carmaker is poised to be a controlling Philippine manufacturing interest and distributor of pedi-modal vehicles in the Philippine Islands was underscored by reports that the EU and the Chinese were planning to invest in trade and free enterprise there. Now for one concept vehicle on the drawing board, a possible linkage between Silliman U. or college, NORSU (EVSAT) with German technische hochschule a "maverick" vehicle dubbed "Alcatraz" with features: 1) voice recognition control and navigation, 2) reporting GPS system and 3) interactive audio-visual surround entertainment modules. The "van-a-wagon" format with extra horsepower with augmented passenger and load capacity will be designed for the tourist traveller within urban/peri-urban with promised improved and rationalized roadway systems for vehicular traffic.
